The thought process about our products should be changed. Nowadays, I don’t think sales or production, or any internally generated metric should control our products. We need to understand our customer's desires and demands. We should endeavour to understand the combination of product, price, performance, quality, and brand that will make our clients and potential clients happy when they buy our product or services.
As we start to understand what drives demand in the market place, our sales and production teams should work together to figure out to deliver better value in the market place.
If we need an one-word answer it is the CUSTOMER who should control our product. The next step it is how to give our customer the best value possible and earn their trust and loyalty. It is a simple concept and it is where revenue and profits come from - CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE. This is the process that we must understand and follow because our products are useless without our happy customers.
